Silence

One by one, they step into the new chapter of their lives.
People say it will change them.
People say it is the transition to adulthood.
People say it will be a once in a lifetime experience, one which they will never forget.

People call it university.

One after the other, they step into its vortex, and let it rip their time to shreds.
And as they make their daily escape from this merciless being, all that is left of them is their fatigued bodies, shelling their exhausted souls. And they bring with them whatever residue they can salvage after all the time they had was devoured by this monstrosity called university.

What about their brethren who are yet to embrace the evil?
They could only move on, for all that was left behind is silence.
Quiet, not a single sound.
Within this silence bitterness was found, and reinforced by the fact that all the things they used to do and enjoy together might not be possible anymore for a considerable amount of time.

Silence, that was extremely rare in the past, is now in abundance.
