In Memoriam

Hello guys! It's been a while since I've updated this blog.... But due to incessant bratty demands by CZ, I shall once again unleash my fabulous writing talents upon this blog that barely anyone reads anymore!

This time I'll do something simple, yet nostalgic and soul-touching to some.
Let's recount all the epic (or in cruder words, cb) moments of the S3X gang! How many of them do you remember? I'm not even sure I remember them all myself...

Also they are not chronologically ordered. Memories are not recorded with timestamps...

Here we go!!

Remember when we were playing with WW's shoes, and our moral teacher Mr Lim found out and wanted us to hang shoes around our necks? Those that wore shoes without shoelaces had to stuck their hands into their shoes!

Remember when Daena's Batrider was so bad, we scribbled "daenax batrider" on the blackboard as a warning to all of mankind?

Remember when a scandal broke out between Xain and Kueny due to them taking the LRT together? There was even a Pokemon card for that!

Remember when we first infiltrated SF's blog? We found out she called me Lack Of Attention and that's how the term LOA was created! And our dummy account was klangcoffeeshop!

Remember when we called our Chemistry teacher "Misai" due to her gifted hair growth above her lips and under her nose? That small patch of hair adds a lot of seductiveness when she pinches our arms for not bringing her books!

Remember when the noise in the class got so bad, ShuNin snapped and yelled "DIAMLA"? The silence that ensued was accompanied by an equal mix of awe and amusement.

Remember when CY and WW created this lame shit called "cabar" and we would spend stupidly long times staring at each other? That is until we discovered CY's unusual talent of nostril size manipulation. From then onwards he would clamp his nostrils tight and strum an air guitar, and we all burst out laughing every single time.

Remember when Ms. Esther was leaving, so as a farewell gift we recorded a short video of us dancing to Sorry Sorry by Super Junior? We even spent time choreographing and perfecting it. You would think I will be kind enough to paste the Youtube link here and I am glad to prove you wrong.

Remember how the term "fluct" was popularised? It was due to the extremely volatile fluctuations of CZ's emotions! I remember he emo-ed for 4 periods of classes on one random day for apparently no reason. He also got angry at Daena for a few days for making him wait too long for a Dota game. He also got extremely pissed when Kaiyik snatched his seat, although Kaiyik was a complete ass back then. Looking at you now CZ, it shows how much you have grown..... Thank us for nurturing you!

Remember what happened on CY's 17th birthday? We kaibao-ed him and pasted X-shaped tapes on his nipples. Then we hung his bag up on the building, in which a teacher fished it up and reported it to Mr Lean. The whole S3X gang was sent to the discipline room and each of us got a rotan blow to our palms after some chit chat with Mr Lean! CY even climbed a tree to retrieve his other bag. My best blog post in the past was the post about this very day.

Remember in one biology experiment we carved a face onto an orange? We thought it was cute back then but looking at it in retrospect, the face was actually pretty shitty. Daena your carving skills suck. We left it to float around in a flooded sink when we left and he was never heard of again.

Remember when we used to have fun on Omegle? We disguised as Japanese porn stars and whatnot. I hereby apologise to all the random people that just wanted to chat with a stranger online, maybe after a hard day of work or something similarly depressing, only to meet idiots like us. Sorry!

Remember the first day of Form 5? WW pulled Daena's pants all the way down. I remember it was Puan Teh overseeing our class that time. The two black pillars that emerged from within the pants still haunt me to this day.

Remember when you guys stayed over at CZ's house for World Cup finals? I wasn't there because I was away for some cello stuff, a performance or an exam I don't remember. You idiots fell asleep during the finals, and played Street Fighter 4 until you guys were 3 hours late for school. Good job guys.

Remember when we crashed at Xain's place? His family wasn't in and we were playing Dragon Nest back then. We played all the way to 5am and were shouting so loud due to excitement. Damn we were nerds. I remember Daena trying to cheat repeatedly and still lost to me in the end when we fought. You thought I've forgotten about your dirty tricks already haven't you, Daena? And then you guys paired me up with Xain which was a noob because that was the only way you guys could beat me. After writing about this for so long I realized I'm such a nerd but I'm just exercising my bragging rights.

Remember when I disguised myself as WW and posted a heart shape in WanLi's blog comment box? WW got angry and emo for a few days. I felt a little guilty back then but now I regret nothing.

Remember Form 5's cross country? WW CZ and CY were so motivated, but then all three of them had stomachache during the run. Whether that was an excuse for them not getting a point or not will forever remain a mystery. Meanwhile, Daena and I decided to ditch the cross country and stayed home, surfing the web and enjoying a game of Dota or two. It is clear now who made the right choice.

Remember when we translated Daenavan into its Chinese counterpart 大奶蚊? It literally means big-boobed mosquito. Had quite some good laughs from that one.

Remember when we went for a karaoke, and wanted to maximise our time? So we would normally pick a long song as the last.... But somehow we ended up with some enigmatic Hindi song. And since it was the last song we decided to sing it to the end without knowing how. Do you guys still remember the lyrics? Maine qasam li....

Remember how because I was always unfazed by insults, you guys came up with the theory that I have no dignity, and hence couldn't be affected by words? That dignity term stuck on for quite some time...

Remember when Daena was doing Matriks in Negeri Sembilan? We called his time there "jungling". He only came back on weekends, and we would maximise that time to play as much Dota as we could, or to hang out and waste time. Then there was that one last weekend before Daena will be away for several weeks due to exam. Our final Dota game was so unsatisfying due to CY fucking around. CZ was so enraged he even made a blog post about it!

Remember all the times Desma spoiled our surprises? The one I most vividly remember is Daena's 17th birthday, when we were supposed to pay a surprise visit to Daena's house. Then Desma asked Daena straight in the face "Later we going your house ah?". Very smooth, Desma.

Remember when we were just high school students? We would linger on MSN everyday to talk nonsense, then we would play a few games of Dota, then we would go to school the next day to continue talking nonsense, or to discuss our Dota matches we played the day prior.

Remember when we were carefree teenagers with not a care for the world? Responsibilities did not claw at us yet. Burdens did not fall upon our shoulders yet. Our worries were not how well we would do in our future career, or how we are going to survive the depreciating currency and rising prices. Instead we worry about how to improve our Dota skills, or what to eat for today's recess.

Remember when life was simple and easy?

No matter you remember these things or not, one thing holds true for all of them: they are memories. You can cherish them, you can think about them and smile to yourself like an idiot, but you also have to accept that they are from the past. You can keep them and carry them around, but as mementos and not as encumbrances. You will have to move on to wherever life takes you, occasionally revisiting these fond memories, and perhaps try to make more on your journey.

That's quite a thick wall of text! Congratulations if you read through them all!

I'm signing off now. CZ please stop demanding for updates man, this one should suffice for a long time.
