Jaya Mengembara!

27th of August, me and my scout buddies formed a team to take the Jaya Mengembara test. The route was set by our very beloved scouter, Mr. Chia Shiang Wei. The route/mission is here:

1) Walk to Jalan Klang Lama from Catholic High School.

2) Take a KTM at Jalan Klang Lama and stop at Shah Alam KTM station.

3) Walk to Persiaran Sultan and all the way to Shah Alam city.

4) Stop by at the Selangor Museum, Selangor Library and Masjid Shah Alam.

5) Gather as much information as possible about these places.

6) Walk along Persiaran Kayangan and find your way to Taman Pertanian Malaysia.

7) Once reached TPM, explore the park and discover 30 species of agriculture plants.

Here are some pics we took for the Mengembara, as part of the logbook we are going to do for this mengembara:

I think the club left out one word.... SUK _ _ _ _?

2.30p.m.
Our final destination. Took picture before went inside and complete our tasks. It was raining.

At first, we were quite happy because we reached TPM much much earlier than we expected. We thought we could end the research of 30 agriculture plants fast and end our mengembara at about 3.30p.m. But when we walked inside and explore the Taman Pertanian, ZOMG the park is so BIG! We rent bicycles to explore the park and do our research, but the uphills of the park really make us tired quickily. Spent 3 hours doing the research because the plants weren't labelled and we have to ask those specialists working there. The bicycles are so cheap: the brakes cannot function, and Chee Keong had his high time when going downhill... Mine the metal chain of the bike broke when I am cycling DOWNHILL PLEASE. Cheap bike.
We left Taman Pertanian Malaysia at 5.30p.m. raining heavily. My dad came to pick 6 of us and they came to my house to rest and two of them stayed overnight. What they did in my house I am not going to tell here... o.O
More photos of the mengembara at Facebook. Now we have to complete the logbook to pass our mengembara test (This is going to take a few weeks. -.=").
